Journeys For Women
May 6 - 11 2008
6 Days / 5 Nights
It's hard to say which was the highlight of our trip; there were so many!-
Perhaps it was the adrenaline rush we experienced in the tram on our way up Sandia Mountain.
- For Leslie, it could have
been the hot air balloon ride.
- Maybe it was the unexpected visit to the winery that our wonderful day-trip guide treated
us to.
- Then there was Taos Pueblo and the visit to the weavers.
- Or perhaps it was the lunch invitation to Rita's
friends' gorgeous Santa Fe home.
- Or it might have been the camaraderie we felt each evening around the dinner table as
we sampled various margaritas and red, green and "Christmas" chiles.
In any case, we came away with great memories and took back knowledge of another piece of American history. From Old Town
to the Balloon Museum in Albuquerque to the Palace of Governors, churches, Georgia O'Keeffe art gallery and the ghost tour
in Santa Fe, we enriched our understanding of the Southwest and gained an appreciation of it's uniqueness. And OK, we brought
back some jewelry and storytellers, too.
