Nestled on 400 acres in the heart of California's wine country, Safari West is home for over 400 exotic mammals and birds. Not a zoo, not a drive-through park, it's a wildlife preserve where the whole family can experience some of nature's most beautiful animals in a natural habitat.

We spent a day and half in this wonderful African Wildlife Preserve.  Our trip included a three hour photographic tour in a two tiered jeep, a warm and friendly buffet dinner, breakfast and a hike around the lake in the morning.  Many of us plan to return with children and grandchildren.  This was a terrific local adventure.
